Bladder Tank (Membrane Tank)
Bladder tanks are specialized tanks used in foam fire suppression systems to separate liquid and air, allowing for controlled pressure between the two. These tanks are designed to ensure the foam concentrate is used efficiently and regularly by maintaining a controlled balance between the liquid and air pressures.
Presence of a Membrane: Inside bladder tanks, the foam concentrate (liquid) and air are kept in separate compartments. The tank contains a flexible membrane that is in direct contact with the foam concentrate.
Storage of Foam Concentrate: The foam concentrate stored inside the tank is pushed out by air pressure. During a fire, a pressurized air system delivers the concentrate to other components of the fire suppression system.
Air and Liquid Pressure: As the air pressure inside the tank increases, it pushes the foam concentrate out. This pressure directs the foam concentrate toward the foam generators, where foam production begins.
Compact Design: Bladder tanks are typically more compact, making them suitable for use in confined spaces.
Separation of Air and Liquid: These tanks effectively separate the liquid and air pressures, allowing for efficient foam production when required.
High Pressure Tolerance: Bladder tanks can withstand high pressures, providing the necessary force for rapid response in fire situations.
Low Maintenance Needs: These tanks generally require minimal maintenance because the membrane system is durable and designed to last for extended periods with less upkeep.
Bladder tanks are commonly used in small to medium-scale fire suppression systems, particularly in the following areas:
At Koza Yangın, we provide compact and efficient bladder tanks to ensure fire safety. With high efficiency and durable membranes, these tanks activate quickly, speeding up the fire suppression process and providing reliable performance when you need it most.
